The building of the House of Officers is located in the Red Avenue of the city of Novosibirsk, it was awarded the title of the historical and architectural monument of regional scale.

It is unique in its kind (the only one extant) in the territory of country house-monument honoring the heroes of the First World War.

Previously, the building was erected as a House for Disabled. It was planned to place historical-and-military museum, workshops, and shelter for disabled people and war veterans there inside the church.

The building was established in June 1916, designed by its architect Kriachkov. It was planned to execute the project in classical style, implying symmetry of a facade and the acting center, flat dome on top and six-column Doric porch together with a ladder equal to porch in width.

Even before the revolution, 2 floors were built, which corresponded to the idea, and after the construction work, they suspended for a considerable period, in connection with the October Revolution and the Civil War that broke out after.

Construction was completed only in 1925, but according to another project, this time by engineer Blazhkovskii, who changed the original canon. By 1929, the House of Disabled expanded due to additional buildings, merged into the single architectural ensemble, and after moving to the building of the headquarters of the Siberian military district, the House of Disabled was renamed into the House of the Red Army.

In 1945, the building was converted into the District House of Officers.

Currently, the following items operate in the building of the House of Officers: the Museum of the History of the Siberian Military District is one of the best military museums, the largest specialized military library beyond the Urals, an enterprise drama theater, an exhibition military-and-historical hall, chapel in the name of St. George the Great Martyr and Victor.
