The Karasuksky Museum of Local History

The Karasuksky Museum of Local History is the center for the study, preservation and popularization of the history and culture of the native land. Identifying, collecting and storing of objects of museum value, keeping up with the times, the museum creates new expositions, is engaged in scientific-and-research, exhibition, cultural and educational work, conducts active regional and international cooperation with cultural institutions.

Collections contain the following items: works of painting, graphics, sculpture, applied arts, numismatics; archaeological and ethnographic finds, weapons, documents.

Museum exposition includes the following items:
- exhibition "Ancient history";
- exhibition "Animal world";
- hall "Karasuk from the origins to the present";
- exposition "Settlement of the territory";
- exposition "Peasant hut";
- exposition "The forgotten social category– the merchant social category";
- hall of "Combat and labor glory";
- hall "of the XX century. Items of the era";
- exposition "Life of the Soviet time";
- exhibition "Domestic radio engineering of XX century";
- exhibition "Optical devices of the XX century".

The cultural institution has 2 halls for traveling exhibitions.

How to get there: the distance from Novosibirsk to the city of Karasuk is 390 km by car. From the Novosibirsk bus station (43a Dmitriya Shamshurina ul.), you can get to Karasuk by bus along the routes Novosibirsk – Karasuk, Novosibirsk – Kupino, Novosibirsk – Chistoozernoe, Novosibirsk – Pavlodar, and Novosibirsk – Karaganda. From the Novosibirsk-Glavny railway station (43 Dmitriya Shamshurina ul.), you can get to the Karasuk-1 railway station by train on the Novosibirsk-Kulunda route.
