Barabinsky Museum of Local History
The Barabinsky Museum of Local History was opened in spring of 1984. Exhibits from schools No. 1, 47 and from the collective of public men were transported to the cultural institution. On February 27, 1991, the museum received the status of the state.
Currrently, the museum has the following expositions: "Nature of the village of Baraba", "Peasant hut", "Barabinsk natives in the Great Patriotic War", "Artists of Siberia", "History of education of the city of Barabinsk", the following exhibitions: "Labor tools of the peasants of the late XIX-early XX centuries", "Shop", "Furniture of the late XIX century".
The museum organizes exhibitions from the funds of local history and art of the museums of the city of Novosibirsk, private collectors, tours (sightseeing and thematic), meetings with veterans of war and labor, interesting people are held.
The following cultural-and-educational programs have been developed: "History of existence of the Russian people in the village of Baraba", "Folk traditions of our region", "Museum chronicle of the war years", "Museum and children", "Folk painting", in which museum lessons, lectures, conversations, role-playing and intellectual games, folk festivals, master-classes are held.

How to get there: the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the city of Barabinsk is 320 km by car.
One can get from the Novosibirsk bus station (43a Dmitriya Shamshurina ul.) to the city of Barabinsk by bus on the route "Novosibirsk-Severnoye". One can get from the station "Novosibirsk-Main" (43 Dmitriya Shamshurina ul.) to the railway station "Barabinsk" by train.
