Cherepanovsky Museum of Local History named after I.G. Folomeev
The Cherepanovsky Museum of Local History was opened on November 6, 1967. There are clubs in the museum such as:
- club of fans of applied folk art "Needlewoman";
- club "Young local historian" on the basis of primary forms of the School No. 4 of the city of Cherepanovo.
The area of the museum is 283 sq.m. Storage area is 26 sq.m. The fund of the museum amounts to about 7,000 items. The main fund amounts to 4,842 items out of all of them.
In 2010-2011, the museum was reconstructed. 4 halls were decorated.
The expositions revealing features of material culture of that time are presented in the first hall "Development of Siberia by immigrants in XVII-XX centuries".
The second hall shows the history of Cherepanovsky district in the period from 1921 till 2011 yrs. The third hall "Nature of the native land" includes 7 expositions that acquaint visitors with the flora, fauna and minerals of the region.
The fourth hall is the exhibition hall. This is the art department of the museum. There are exhibitions of paintings and decorative-and-applied arts here.
The museum conducts educational work through excursions and events, takes part in district and regional events and exhibitions.

How to get there: the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the city of Cherepanovo is 110 km by car. One can get to the city of Cherepanovo by electric train on the route "Novosibirsk-Main-Cherepanovo". One can get from the Novosibirsk bus station (43a Dmitriya Shamshurina ul.) to the city of Cherepanovo by bus on the route "Novosibirsk-Maslyanino".
