The Museum named after A.I. Pokryshkin
Aleksandr Ivanovich Pokryshkin was the Soviet ace pilot, the first three-time Hero of the Soviet Union, air marshal. The Museum named after A.I. Pokryshkin was officially opened on March 5, 1998. Currently, it has 4 halls with a total area of 540 sq. m. The main fund is 5,012 units, and an auxiliary one is 6,199 units. The hall No. 1 introduces visitors to the biography of the great pilot. The hall No. 2 stores photos, documents, letters, diplomas of graduates, employees of the Novosibirsk Technical College named after A.I. Pokryshkin. The third hall of the museum is dedicated to the role of the pilot in the Great Patriotic War. The additional room with an area of 18 sq.m. includes the office of the museum staff, storage of the main and auxiliary funds.
The museum has the Council that plans its activities for a year. Every year, events are held on military-patriotic, labor and moral education of young people. Once a year, "Pokryshkin's readings" are held, in which not only students of the Novosibirsk Technical College named after A.I. Pokryshkin take part, but also students of other educational institutions.
The work on constant replenishment of exhibits in halls of the museum proceeds. It is visited by about 5,000 people a year.
