Exhibition center of SB (Siberian Branch) of RAS (Russian Academy of Sciences)

The Exhibition Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences was established on February 1998, and was renovated in 2007. There is Large exhibition hall with periodic thematic expositions, conference hall for 65 seats and meeting room for 20 seats on the first floor.

There are the following items on the second floor:

permanent (regularly updated) exhibition "Science of Siberia", demonstrating the scientific potential of Siberia: more than 500 scientific developments in different fields – from agriculture to energetics. Developments are provided by institutes out of 9 research centers: Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yakut, Omsk, Buryat, Kemerovo and Tyumen. The developments include the world-class discoveries from works in the field of high-energy physics and accelerators (participation of Siberia citizens in the works on the hadron collider and the creation of the synchrotron radiation center) to the finds of Altai mummies and a fragment of the finger of a previously unknown ancient man, i.e. "Denisova man»;

Employees of the Exhibition center of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences conduct a tour "Akademgorodok is the heart of the scientific capital". During the sightseeing tour, guests of the city of Novosibirsk will learn the history of the development of Akademgorodok, which its residents used to call "Gorodok"; the history of the "Gorodok" and the prospects of development; get acquainted with its main points of interest, including not only academic institutions, Academpark, but art objects as well.

How to get there:

By electric train on the route "Novosibirsk-Main" - metro "River-port – "Station "Purveyor". There are route taxis No. 28, 7, bus No.139 from the station "Purveyor" to the stop "House of Scientists". Then,  one needs to walk from the stop "House of Scientists" (to go around the House of Scientists on the left side and exit to Zolotodolinskaya str.) to the Exhibition Center of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences on foot (560 m).

There is route taxi No. 35, bus No. 8 from the public transport stop "River-port" to the stop "House of Scientists" in Akademgorodok. Then, one needs to walk from the stop "House of Scientists" (to go around the House of Scientists on the left side and exit to Zolotodolinskaya str.) to the Exhibition Center of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences on foot (560 m).
