Center for the History of the Development of the Leninsky district
The Center for History of Development of Leninsky district is structural sub-division of the Municipal State Institution "The Center of Heroic-and-Patriotic Education "Post No. 1". The center was founded on June 21, 2012. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that on one "platform" there is a meeting of representatives of different generations, there are common themes and points of contact of people of different views and ages.
The museum funds comprise more than 4,000 items, including photographs, unique documents, household items and samples of products of industrial enterprises of the Leninsky district of the city of Novosibirsk. The expositions on the following subject matters were formed:
- "The history of the country in the history of the district": formation of the district, contribution of Siberia inhabitants to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
- The largest enterprises, education, medicine, culture, sports, youth policy (in the period from 1945 to the present).
- History and everyday life collection of 30-70-ies under the name "Room of grandmother Polina".
Exhibitions are updated, new ones are opened on average 1 time per month.
The center has two exhibition halls, conference hall for seminars, presentation programs, film screenings, equipped photo zones.
The following events have become traditional: "Day off at the museum", "Evening of filmstrips", a holiday for the family, "Party in the style of the 30s, 40s", "Meetings at the museum", "Family interactive", walking tours, quests, etc.
The center works in close cooperation with the Veterans Council of Leninsky district, libraries of the district, schools, institutions of additional education. An important area of activity is the work with school museums, universities, colleges.
Introduction of young people to the history of the city and district is carried out through the participation of young people in competitions at various levels, the implementation of district, city and other cultural programs and projects.
