State natural reserve “Dovolensky”
The total area of the reserve “Dovolensky” is 75 844 hectares. This is a specially protected natural area of regional importance, which was founded on May 31, 1971.
The reserve is formed with the aim to:
• keep of natural complexes and objects of the forest-steppe zone of Western Siberia;
• protect of such animals and birds as: moose, roe deer, hare, badger, black grouse;
• protect of habitats of rare and endangered species of animals;
• maintain the necessary ecological balance and stability of ecosystem.
14 species of animals and 56 species of birds are protected on the territory.
Fishing, hunting and other uses of the wildlife are prohibited here.
Location: the Novosibirsk region, north-east part of Dovolensky district
How to get there: the distance from Dovolnoe village to the west boarder of the reserve is 29 km by car, from Novosibirsk to the reserve – 300km by car. There is a scheduled bus from Novosibirsk Bus Terminal to Dovolnoe village, and then take another bus to Utyanki village.
