State Biological Reserve "Legostayevsky"
The State Biological Reserve "Legostayevsky" is of regional importance, its area is 30,900 hectares. It is located in the eastern part of the Iskitimsky district, on the right bank of the Berd river. The reserve is intended for the protection of elk, roe deer, bear, otter, hare, grouse birds, badger settlements, and other species of wild animals. The territory preserves natural complexes (objects) of the Priobskaya foothill plain of Western Siberia in its natural state, preserves natural resources, enriches economic agricultural lands, protects winter posts of elk and roe deer, habitats of rare and endangered species of animals, maintains the necessary ecological balance and stability of ecosystems functioning.
The specially protected natural area of regional importance is organized for an unlimited period in order to:
• preserve natural complexes and objects of the Priobskaya foothill plain of Western Siberia in its natural state;
• preserve, reproduce and restore natural resources, enrich adjacent economic agricultural lands;
• protect reproduction stations of elk, roe deer, hares, river beaver, gray marmot, grouse birds, badger settlements, other species of wild animals;
• protect winter posts of elk and roe deer;
• protect habitats of rare and endangered species of animals and plants;
• maintain ecological balance and stability of ecosystems functioning;
• provide the environmental personal development, education, and enlightenment of the population.
A list of the main objects of protection includes the following objects:
• areas of subtaiga forests with formations of the black taiga of the Prisalairya, pine plantations, forest-steppe areas;
• elements of xerophytic rocky steppe on the slopes of the spurs;
• habitats of a number of industrial species (gray marmots, bears, river beavers, elks, roe deers, black grouse, grouses, badgers, Siberian weasels, steppe polecats, ermines, wood grouses);
• rare and endangered animals (nests of golden eagle, black stork; eagle owl; of gerfalcons, saker falcons at passing).
Location: the south-eastern part of the Iskitimsky district, there is the village of Ust-Chem, the village of Mosty, Legostayevo Village Council on the border of the reserve.

The State Nature Reserve of Federal Significance "Kirzinsky" was established on April 11, 1958. The total area is 119,808 ha.
The reserve provides protection and pristine appearance of wetlands, reproduction of rare, endangered and hunting species of animals, protection of places of mass concentrations of waterfowl and swamp game and their migration routes, as well as the preservation of a typical forest-steppe landscape.
There are stipa zalesskii and najas marina there among the rare species of plants growing in the territory of the reserve. The reserve is home to valuable industrial animals, such as elk, roe deer, fox, dog fox, Alpine and Brown hares, badger, Siberian weasels, ermines, musk beavers, lynxes. There are places of mass nesting of waterfowl and semiaquatic birds here such as: grouse, gray and white partridges, geese such as white-fronted goose, bean-goose, and gray one. Rare species of birds are common such as: white-tailed eagle, fish hawk, pied avocet, white-headed duck, great black-headed gull.
Industrial, sports and amateur hunting are prohibited in the territory of the reserve "Kirzinsky", sports and amateur fishing is limited as well.
In spring and in summer specialists of the reserve organize hiking in its territory to study the flora and fauna for the purpose of educational tourism.
Location: Barabinsky and Chanovsky districts, Novosibirsk region. In the Central part of the Barabinsk forest steppe. The territory of the reserve is bordered by agricultural lands, and in the south by the water areas of the lake Chany.
How to get there: the distance from the city of Barabinsk (district center of Barabinsky district) to the border with the reserve "Kirzinsky" is 40 km by car, the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the border with the reserve is 360 km by car.
One can get from the station "Novosibirsk-Main" (43 Dmitriya Shamshurina str. of the city of Novosibirsk) to the city of Barabinsk by train on the routes "Chulymskaya-Barabinsk", "Novosibirsk-Belgorod", "Novosibirsk-Kulunda", "Novosibirsk-Novy Urengoy". There is a bus on the route "Novosibirsk–the village of Severnoye" from the Novosibirsk bus station (4 Krasny avenue) to the city of Barabinsk as well. One can get from the city of Barabinsk to the border with the reserve "Kirzinsky" by a car going its own way.
The State Nature Reserve "Yudinsky" has been operating in the territory of Chistoozyorny district since 1978. The reserve was established for the development of migratory routes of waterfowl and to preserve the popularization of elk, roe deer, hares, badger settlements. Such species of birds like swan, red-breasted goose, lesser white-fronted goose, little bustard, shelduck, ruddy shelduck are preserved in the territory of the reserve.
The following activities are prohibited in the reserve: economic activity, hunting, fishing. Citizens permanently residing in settlements located on specially protected natural territory have the right to carry out amateur and sports fishing on public water bodies after the end of the days of the fishing ban. The total area is 112.72 thousand ha.
Location: the eastern part of Chistoozyorny district, Novosibirsk region. The settlement of Chistoozyornoye, which is the district center, is located 0.5 km from the border of the reserve.
How to get there: the distance from the settlement of Chistoozyornoye (district center of Chistoozyorny district) to the border with the reserve "Yudinsky" is 0.5 km by car, the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the border with the reserve is 551 km by car.
One can get from the railway station "Novosibirsk-Main" (43 Dmitriya Shamshurina str. of the city of Novosibirsk) to the railway station "Chistoozyornaya" (in the settlement of Chistoozyornoye) by train on the route "Novosibirsk-Kulunda". In addition, there is a bus service on the route "Novosibirsk–the settlement of Chistoozyornoye" from the Novosibirsk bus station (4 Krasny avenue).
The border with the reserve "Yudinsky" is within walking distance from the settlement of Chistoozyornoe (0.5 km).
