Паровоз Лунина. Мемориал Славы труженикам тыла 1941–1945 годов

The Memorial of Glory to Home Front Workers of 1941-1945 yrs. was established in 1985. It is the steam locomotive of FD (Feliks Dzerzhinskii) series of 21-3000 of the team of engineer N.A. Lunin.

The monument-steam locomotive was erected in honor of the Siberia citizens, who worked selflessly in the rear. One of them was the driver Nikolai Aleksandrovich Lunin, the Hero of Socialist Labor, Honorary Citizen of the Novosibirsk region, Honorary Railwayman. His brigade had mastered a new method of operating a locomotive before the war, which doubled the rate of mileage between repairs. This freight FD locomotive, jubilee (three thousandths) for the plant, in 1936 was given personally to N.A. Lunin and his brigade.

The locomotive continued its work after the war, and since 1985 it was installed as the monument to home front workers.
