Museum of Fairy Tales and Myths of the Russian people "On Buyan island"
The Museum of Fairy Tales and Myths of the Russian people "On the Island of Buyan" was opened on May 21, 2009 at the library of family reading named after Volodia Dubinin of the Municipal State Institution of Culture "Centralized Library System of Pervomaysky district".
The main exhibitions of the museum are as follows:
- "In the Russian hut";
- "Fairy tales of the Firebird";
- "Forest fairy tale";
- "In the Kingdom of Obinushki".
The book fund includes the following items:
- Russian fairy tales, fairy tales-toys for the little ones.
- Humorous saying, lullabies.
- Legends and myths of the ancient Slavs.
- Russian way of life: clothing, cuisine, traditions, rituals, holidays.
- Folk crafts.
Visitors of the museum are offered the following services:
- Theatrical excursions for children of preschool and primary school age, parents with children.
- Meetings with Novosibirsk writers-storytellers.
- Folklore holidays according to the national calendar.
- Presentations of books on Slavic mythology and Russian traditional culture.
- Discussion of Russian folk tales.

Working hours:
Monday – Friday: 11:00-18:00
Saturday, Sunday are days off
The last Thursday of each month is a cleaning day.
