State Novosibirsk Regional Clinical Hospital
The State Budgetary Institution of Public Health of Novosibirsk region "The State Novosibirsk Regional Clinical Hospital" was established in 1939. Currently, it is one of the largest multidisciplinary medical-and-preventive institutions not only in the Siberian Federal District, but also in the Russian Federation in terms of volumes and capabilities of medical-and-diagnostic treatment.
The hospital has 16 specialized centers such as:
- Novosibirsk inter-regional burn center,
- Regional centre for organ donation,
- Regional coloproctological center,
- Trauma center of the first level,
- Regional vascular center No. 2,
- Regional endocrinological center,
- Regional rheumatology center,
- Regional nephrological center,
- Regional center for high-dose chemotherapy of hemoblastosis,
- Regional center for disseminated sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases of the nervous system,
- Regional center for neurology and neurosurgery,
- Regional perinatal center,
- Regional children's asthma center,
- Regional children's cardiorheumatologist's center,
- Regional children's nephro-urological center,
- Regional center for laboratory medicine.
In the centers, residents of the Novosibirsk region can receive modern specialized and high-tech medical care for all major types of diseases.
Medical departments of the hospital are combined into specialized clinics (therapeutic, surgical, pediatric, anesthesiology and intensive care, obstetrics and gynecology). More than 45 thousand patients get inpatient medical care there annually. The hospital performs more than 35 thousand surgeries a year.
Many of the manipulations relate to high-tech types of medical care such as:
- unique manipulations on liver and pancreas;
- correction of congenital malformations in children;
- renal system and liver transplantation; orthopedic correction of limb deformities;
- angioplasty for severe vascular diseases;
- implantation of cardiac pacemakers;
- complex reconstructive-and-plastic surgeries for tumors and injuries of the facial skull;
- microsurgical manipulations in otorhinolaryngology;
- replacement arthroplasty; vascular prosthetics, etc.
The hospital's diagnostic-and-treatment sub-departments, which include the laboratory diagnostics department and the diagnostic center, conduct more than 3.8 million of diagnostic tests a year, many of which relate to the most recent generation. One of the largest divisions of the Novosibirsk Regional Hospital is the Advisory-and-Diagnostic Polyclinic for 700 visits per shift in 34 specialties, providing advice to more than 170 thousand patients a year. And also Department for emergency and planned counseling, performing about 20 thousand consultations for the most severe categories of patients in the districts of the region per year.
Currently, the hospital employs more than 2,600 people, including about 660 doctors, more than 1,000 nurses, including: 24 doctors and 77 candidates of Medical Sciences; 45 Chief specialists of the field; half of the doctors and the paramedical workers have the highest qualification category; 18 Honoured doctors of the Russian Federation; 4 Honored workers of Public Health of the Russian Federation; 34 Honors Pupils of the Public Health of the Russian Federation.
The hospital is the center for training and professional development of medical workers in the Novosibirsk region. The staff of the hospital together with the Siberian Department of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and Novosibirsk State Medical University conducts scientific-and-research work on the main issues of clinical medicine.
