The natural monument of the regional level “Starogornostalevskoe Zaimka”
The natural monument of the regional level “Starogornostalevskoe Zaimka” occupies 1816 hectares. It was founded on January 16, 2007.
“Starogornostalevskoe Zaimka” is a kind of land and marsh complex of fauna and flora. The natural complex has a great scientific, environmental, aesthetic and ecological-educational significance.
The zaimka is a series of swamps and small lakes, framed by steppe and forest-steppe areas. This area is important as a place of nesting and bird accumulation during migration period.
Today 91 species of birds, 26 mammal species, 4 amphibian species, 3 reptiles, 75 plant species, and 136 invertebrate species have been recorded here. The main object of protection is 20 species of plants and animals included into the Red Books of the Russian Federation and the Novosibirsk Region.
The Chulym River on the territory of the monument is a favorite place for fishing and alloys.
On the territory of the Zaimka it is allowed to collect of berries, fishing, and organization of excursions for educational purposes. It is forbidden to build bonfires, arrange tourist camps, collect rare and endangered species, as well as decorative species of plants and mushrooms.
Location: the Novosibirsk region, Dovolensky district, 12 km to the north-west from Ilinka village
How to get there: the distance between Dovolnoe village and natural monument “Starogornostalvskoe Zaimka” is 47 km by car, from Novosibirsk to the natural monument – 322 km by car.
There is scheduled bus from Novosibirsk Bus Terminal to Dovolnoe village. From Dovolnoe village to Ilinki village you can get by bus. From Ilinli village to the monument you can get by car or hitchhiking.
