Monument to the Border Guardian I.V. Koroteev
Ivan Vasilyevich Koroteev, Hero of the Soviet Union wa an Iskitim border guard, red army soldier, who died on November 24, 1936 in battle with an armed Japanese detachment on the far eastern border of the country.
The monument in the City Park of Culture and Recreation was established in memory of the hero on August 1, 1939. The park was named after the hero: The City Garden named after Koroteev, as well as one of the streets of the city of Iskitim is named in honor of Ivan Vasilevich, namely Koroteyeva street.
