Sergiev Kazan Temple

The project of the stone five-domed temple with a tent bell tower in the style of Russian-Byzantine architecture in the uts. of Krasnoobsk was approved in June 1995. Construction work began in 1996 and was completed only 16 years later. Externally, the construction of the temple was completed in 2005. The temple was built on people's donations. The consecration of the temple was performed by his Eminence Tikhon, Archbishop of the city of Novosibirsk and the city of Berdsk.

Currently, Sunday school for children and adults operates at Krasnoobsk congregation. In addition, the parish provides spiritual care of the Central District Hospital of the Novosibirsk region and the Regional Oncohaematological Children's Center, located at the hospital. The Orthodox Patriotic club "Ark" for youth from 14 years of age and older was created on the basis of the temple. Here teenagers get acquainted with Orthodoxy in the following way: they study the the Book of the Gospels, biblical commandments, the fundamentals of the Orthodox faith, the history of the Church and the Fatherland. They discuss issues that are relevant to a young person, watch movies that should be thought about, share their faith with their peers. Also, members of the club together with the priest participate in competitions of Novosibirsk tourists and go hiking.
