Museum of the Pervomaysky district of the city of Novosibirsk

The official opening of the Museum of Pervomaysky district took place on February 22, 2006.

Currently, it occupies a spacious bright room in the center of the district and consists of 4 thematic halls, in which there are both permanent and temporary expositions and exhibitions.

The main activities of the museum are the following ones:
- accounting, storage and acquisition of objects for the museum fund;
- implementation of exposition-and-exhibition activities;
- excursion, lecture and other educational services for visitors;
- provision of information, advisory services, scientific-and-methodological assistance;
- organization and holding of cultural and leisure activities.

The museum carefully preserves photos of those who laid the railway track and thus wrote a new page in the history of Siberia, which became the first page in the history of the Pervomaysky district.

The exposition dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, as well as to the participants of local wars is presented here. Among the exhibits one can find many of those, which illustrate the life of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers.

The museum regularly hosts tours and events of various topics. Topics of talks and excursions for visitors of all ages have been developed. For the youngest there is a whole cycle of conversations on the history of things, for older children the topics are more serious. They are as follows: the history of the district and the people who made it famous, quiz games, intellectual games. Master classes on making rag dolls, dolls-amulets became especially popular among children.

The museum staff often visits schools, colleges, kindergartens. Walking tours of the streets of Pervomaysky district (Telmana str., Eykhe str., Pervomayskaya str.) are held by prior application.

The museum holds events and quizzes for calendar holidays by appointment. In addition, meetings with veterans of war and labor, veterans of local wars, the oldest residents of the district are organized.

It is a branch of The Museum of Novosibirsk.
