Kargatsky Museum of Local History

The Kargatsky Museum of Local History was opened on November 24, 1982. It occupies 10 halls. The exhibitions of masters and lovers of decorative-and-applied art, district and regional photo exhibitions are held monthly in the exhibition hall. The lecture hall of the museum is designed for meetings with interesting people, showing of film lectures, slide programs, and presentations.

The fund of the museum consists of 6,191 exhibits. Visitors will be attracted by such exhibits as the Icon of the Mother of God "Sign" of the late XIX century, paleontological finds of the stone age, German motorcycle of "BMW" brand of 1942 year of manufacture.

How to get there: the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the city of Kargat is 180 km by car. One can get from the Novosibirsk bus station (43a Dmitriya Shamshurina ul.) to the city of Kargat by bus on the routes "Novosibirsk–Severnoye", "Novosibirsk-Dovolnoye", "Novosibirsk-Ust-Tarka". In addition, one can get to the city of Kargat by electric train on the route "Novosibirsk-Main-Kargat".

Monday – Friday: 9:00-18:00
Saturday – Sunday: 10:00-17:00
Lunch break is from 12:00 to 12:30
