Federal Center for Neurosurgery

The Federal State Budgetary Institution "Federal Center for Neurosurgery" of the Ministry of Public Health of the Russian Federation began its work in September 2012. The center was built within the framework of the national project "Health" and is designed to provide medical services to residents of the Siberian, Far Eastern Federal Districts and other regions of Russia. Priority areas include minimally invasive methods of treatment. The main activity of the Center is the provision of high-tech assistance in the field of neurosurgery. This assistance is provided to Russia citizens free of charge.

The center consists of the following departments: functional neurosurgery, pediatric, spinal, vascular, oncology, anesthesiology and intensive care, laboratory and radiation diagnostics, surgery unit.

Patients are treated according to the following profiles:
- vascular neurology;
- all kinds of benign and malignant tumors of brain and spinal cord;
- diseases of spinal cord and peripheral nervous system;
- disorders of muscle tone, parkinsonism, essential tremor, muscular dystonia, cerebral palsy, trigeminal neuralgia and other cranial nerves;
- congenital malformations of brain and spinal cord;
- pediatric neurosurgery: - oncological diseases, congenital pathology of brain and spinal cord.

The hospital is designed for 95 beds, including 15 for the children's department, where young patients can be treated without being separated from their parents; nowadays it is the only specialized department of federal importance, providing high-tech neurosurgical care to children in the Siberian Federal District.

The polyclinic provides free consultative reception of patients referred by doctors of hospitals or polyclinics, as well as when citizens independently apply for advice on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the neurosurgical profile. Examinations are held on the equipment of an expert class and the following specialists conduct reception: therapist, pediatrician, neurologist, cardiologist, endocrinologist, ophthalmologist, otolaryngologist, urologist, obstetrician-gynecologist. The reception is carried out in order to select patients for high-tech medical care on the basis of polyclinic every day.

The center is equipped with all the necessary surgical and diagnostic equipment of the latest generation, modern multifunctional surgical tables, ceiling anesthesiological and surgical consoles.

The equipment of the diagnostic department allows to carry out the most complete examination of the patient with minimal time loss, using the full range of diagnostic capabilities (U/S, CT, MRI, digital x-ray examination).

Modern equipment allows carrying out the full range of neurosurgical interventions at the pathology of the central and peripheral nervous system, spinal pathology, neurological diseases requiring surgery. Use of the station for monitoring of activity of brain and spinal cord, and also peripheral nervous system during manipulations, allows minimizing or excluding completely additional trauma of functionally significant structures of the central nervous system.

Comfortable conditions for stay are offered for patients. They are as follows: single and double rooms, each with shower, sanitary conveniences, desk, refrigerator and wardrobes. The department employs highly qualified medical and attentive nursing staff with extensive experience in working with patients.  The conditions of stay meet the modern requirements of comfort, medical safety and contribute to the speedy recovery of patients.

Saturday, Sunday - days off
