Dovolensky Museum of Local History

Prerequisites for the creation of the district museum appeared in the 1970s. Collection of exhibits was carried out upon the initiative of the pedagogical staff of Dovolensky Secondary School No. 1. The collected exhibits were stored for a long time in one of the school offices. In 2000, to the 70th anniversary of the Dovolensky district, the Museum of Local History was opened in the village of Dovolnoye, to the funds of which some of the collected exhibits were transferred.

The staff of the museum actively conducts search-and-research activities aimed at a detailed study of the historical, socio-economic development of the district, villages, enterprises. Young local historians, heads of local history associations, heads of school museums, old residents of the district, veterans take part in this work.

The museum fund consists of 3,708 units of exhibits such as: products of applied art, numismatics, ethnography, stuffed birds and animals living in the territory of the Novosibirsk region, paintings, documents, rare books, objects of natural science collection, history of technology.

How to get there: the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the village of Dovolnoye is 280 km by car. One can get from the Novosibirsk bus station (43a Dmitriya Shamshurina ul.) to the village of Dovolnoye by bus on the route "Novosibirsk-Dovolnoye".
