Музей Советского района города Новосибирска
The Museum of the Sovetsky district was established on December 28, 2006. It is one of the youngest museums in the city.
The museum provides an opportunity to make a small journey through time: to visit the Russian "Clean part of peasant's hut" and "Hydrobuilder's Room", to see how our grandparents lived. The fund contains unique objects of labor and life of the Novosibirsk Ob region of the XIX-XX centuries, copies and originals of archival documents and materials on the history of the district, a selection of photos on the construction of the Novosibirsk Hydroelectric Power Station, maps of the district.
Russian hut model, traditional Russian dolls and toys of the USSR era are presented for children. Social and cultural projects aimed at young people are carried out: "Annual regional historical-and-local core conference", "Young talents", "Domovenok Kuzka", "Golden ring of points of interest of the Sovetsky district", "Joyful leisure in folk style" and others.
There are rotating exhibitions and expositions every month. The history of the museum includes exhibitions at city and district venues: in the district administration, in the House of Scientists of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences.
The museum offers excursions, meetings, festive and educational programs, intellectual games, master classes (ritual doll and toy, postcard with own hands, paintings and much more).
