Музей Калининского района города Новосибирска

The Museum of the History and Development of the Kalininsky district began its activity in 2009 in a room with an area of 180 sq.m. The official opening (October 19, 2010) was timed to the 30th anniversary of the district. The exposition of the First exhibition hall was created by the museum staff in close connection with the industrial enterprises of the district: Novosibirsk Mechanical Plant "Spark", PJSC (Public Joint-Stock Company) "Novosibirsk Plant of Chemical Concentrates", FSUE (Federal State Unitary Enterprise) PO (Production Association) "North", JSC (Joint-Stock Company) PABE (Production Assembling and Building Enterprise) "Electron", as well as with municipal organizations such as: of Public Health, Culture and Education.

On October 20, 2012, the Military hall was opened at the museum. The exposition consisted of exhibitions dedicated to participants and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, veterans of military service, participants of local conflicts in Afghanistan and Chechnya, as well as exhibitions of public organizations of the district: "Echo", "Survivor of siege", interregional Union of Power Structures of the Homeland of the Children's Sea Center "Carvel".

Along with excursion-and-exhibition activities, the museum is actively developing as the leisure center for veterans of war, labor, sports, culture, youth and schoolchildren.

In order to implement an integrated approach to the education and development of youth, thematic events, competitions, excursions, including:
- Rewarding of participants of regional competitions on bullet shooting on the prize of the major of Special Rapid Response Detachment Vladimir Shlapakov awarded posthumously with the Order of Courage.
- Traditional events dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day.
- Annual festive concerts dedicated to Mother's Day and International Women's day.
- Festive children's programs for Children's Day.
- Projects of the museum include the following ones:
1). "Meetings without a tie" with interesting honored people, participants of local conflicts, heads of enterprises, deputies.
2). "Lessons of Courage" dedicated to the Days of military glory, participants of the Great Patriotic War and events related to it.

The museum takes part in the action "Night of Museums", which attracts hundreds of visitors not only from the Kalininsky district, but also from other parts of the city.

Currently, the fund of the museum amounts to about 5,000 storage items.

In 2011, the museum won first place in the competition among the district museums of the city. Employees were awarded diplomas and Letters of Thanks, including from the administration of the Kalininsky district, the city hall of the city of Novosibirsk, the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk region, etc.
 
It is a branch of The Museum of Novosibirsk.
