Scientific-and-Research Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine

The Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "Scientific-and-Research Institute for Experimental and Clinical Medicine", organized in 1998, is the successor of the first Institute of the Academy of Medical Sciences in Siberia, i.e. the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine.
 
The Federal State Budgetary Institution "Scientific Center for Clinical-and-Experimental Medicine" of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences has been studying the processes of adaptation, causes for origin, features of development of combined illnesses in the ecological conditions of Siberia and the Far North, as well as the reasons and peculiarities of the disease manifestation of human reproductive organs, development of new tools, techniques and methods for diagnosis, prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases.
 
The clinic is located in the ecologically clean green area of the city of Novosibirsk and has the following units:
- four therapeutic units with 200 beds;
- Department for Reanimation and Intensive Therapy;
- Scientific-and-Advisory and Physiotherapy Departments;
- Department for Functional Diagnostics;
- Clinical-and-Diagnostic Department with Immunological, Clinical-and- Biochemical and Bacteriological Laboratories, Pathomorphology Room;
- X-Ray Room.

The clinic is provided with modern medical and diagnostic equipment, it treats more than 3,000 patients annually. Most of the wards in the clinic are of enhanced comfort (including single and double rooms of the category "Luxe"). Patients are provided with medical nutrition and additional care.

The in-patient clinic carries out the comprehensive examination of patients using methodologies providing conduct of an expanded range of diagnostic measures, modern medical and non-medical methods of treatment are used. It provides specialized inpatient care to patients with cardiological, gastroenterological diseases, therapeutic, neurological pathology, skin diseases.

Much attention is paid to the rehabilitation of patients with the use of various physiotherapeutic effects, hardware physiotherapy with the use of electric field, electromagnetic and magnetic fields, the energy of light radiation.
 
The following methods of reflexology are actively used: classical acupuncture, EHF-diagnostics according to Voll, EHF-puncture, auriculodiagnostics, pharmacopuncture, hematopathy, gyrocopter are carried out. Methods of inhalation therapy are highly effective in the treatment of various diseases. They include the following ones: salt therapy, aerosol therapy, aroma therapy, ultrasonic inhalations.
 
Hydrotherapy procedures (therapeutic showers, aromatic and salt baths, dry-air carbon dioxide baths, underwater shower massage) are the significant addition to medical therapy. Methods using the temperature factor (general cryotherapy, "cedar barrel"), as well as manual therapy and therapeutic massage are successfully used in various pathologies. Phytoteas are sold in the juice bar, and supplement any treatment program.
 
The U/S diagnostics is carried out on expert-class devices at the Department for Functional Diagnostics: pathology of heart, blood vessels, diseases of internal organs and pelvic organs, as well as thyroid and skin; Holter monitoring of ECG (electrocardiogram) and APB (arterial blood pressure), load tests; dopplerography of the major vessels, rheoencephalography, electroencephalography.
 
Diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, fibrogastroduodenoscopy, fibrocolonoscopy, rectoromanoscopy are carried out at the endoscopic room using modern equipment.

The medical institution has the complex with the mobile x-ray machine.
