Regional Branch Union of Tourism Industry in Siberia was founded in 2006, and during many years has been representing enterprises and organizations’ interest of the tourist industry, entering into the Union, and also make active work for improvement the legislative field in tourism activity, stimulate to develop the civilize, honest and fair trading of tourism market.

Today, the Union includes more than 30 companies that unite the sphere of tourism: travel agencies, tour operators, insurance companies, educational institutions, and hotels – companies who care about the tourism industry in the Siberian region.

The maximum cooperation of subjects of tourist market in the Siberian region (tourist companies, accommodation, sanatoriums and resorts, excursion organizations and institutions, transport and insurance companies, specialized media, exhibition organizations etc.), their efforts and opportunities directed to presentation and protection of interests of the Union members and formation, development and regulation of the tourist market of the Siberian region.

Goals and tasks of the Union

• Formation of the legal field of regional tourism. Impact on the development by representative and executive authorities of various levels of legal, economic and social policies that is responsible for the professional interests of the Union members and promote its implementation.
• Organization the independent investigation of legislation, management decisions about tourism economy development, tax, financial and credit policies, plans and programs in the field of tourism, and to protect the members of the Union from the illegal actions of state supervision bodies.
• Creation of databases and other information systems that contribute to the work of the Union members.
• Performing the functions of a collective customer. Carrying out the systematic work to provide discounts for the Union members for services related to their commercial activities.
• Improvement of professional skills of employees of the Union member firms, holding seminars, consultations and other events refer to supporting a professionalism.
• Formation the principles of subjects behavior of the Siberia tourist market. Discussion and acceptance of recommendatory norms and rules of subject’s relations of the tourist market, including relations “tour operator-travel agent”, “tour operator-accommodation base”, “tour operator-transport company” etc., based on the legislative base of the Russian Federation and the experience of the Union members.

• Organization and participation in activities related to consumer rights issues, fair competition of participants in the tourist market in Siberia.
