Kochenyovsky Museum of Local History
The Kochenyovsky Museum of Local History was opened on July 16, 2004. This is one of the youngest museums in the Novosibirsk region. Its area is 229.6 sq.m. The total number of items of the main fund is 1,970 units.
The museum carries out storage and use of museum, archival and library funds. It also carries out the following scientific-and-research and exhibition activities: preparation and holding of thematic meetings, evenings, talks, holidays with the use of expositions and stock collections, organization of excursions, traveling exhibitions, showing of videos, presentations, slide programs. Scientific-and-methodical, publishing and exhibition activities are carried out too.
The museum has become the center of the local history and military-and-patriotic work. There are lessons of courage, round tables, excursions, meetings with war veterans, museum lessons here. Over the years, 2,714 thousand museum items were collected.
Currently, there are 4 halls in the Kochenyovsky Museum of Local History such as: the historical hall, the exhibition hall, the hall of life and ethnography and the hall of nature. In order to preserve the historical and cultural heritage and develop the creative potential of the residents of the district, the museum announces district competitions on annual basis.

How to get there: the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the settlement of Kochenyovo is 51 km by car. One can get to the settlement of Kochenyovo by electric train on the routes "Novosibirsk-Main–Chulymskaya", "Novosibirsk-Main-Kargat", "Novosibirsk-Main-Kochenyovo", "Novosibirsk-Main-Duplenskaya".
One can get from the Novosibirsk bus station (43a Dmitriya Shamshurina ul.) to the settlement of Kochenyovo by bus on the routes "Novosibirsk-Severnoye", "Novosibirsk-Ust-Tarka".
