Novosibirsk State Drama Theater "Old house"
The Novosibirsk Drama Theater "Old house" was founded on November 1, 1933, as a regional "mobile theater". The main idea of the theater from the moment of its creation was to introduce the Novosibirsk audience to the experience of world art culture. Both classic texts and ultra-modern ones are present in the repertoire. It is the theater, in which one experiments not only with literary material but also with the way of the actor's existence.
Special place in the artistic policy of the theater is occupied by international projects such as: play "Feelings" (based on the stories of A.P. Chekhov) by Lithuanian Director Linas Zaikauskas, "Duet" (O. Eskin) by Polish Director K. Zanussi, "Blow" (A. Veiel, G. Schmidt) German Director Ronnie Jakibashk and others.
Master-classes, seminars, laboratories devoted to the issues of new drama and modern directing are constantly held at the site of the "Old house". Theater performances are regular participants of theater festivals.
