NOVOSIBIRSK ACADEMIC YOUTH THEATER “GLOBUS”

The Novosibirsk Academic Youth Theater "Globus" is one of the most important theaters in the city of Novosibirsk, founded on April 4, 1930. The theater offers a diverse repertoire. There are performances of various directing schools. The theater is located in its original building, stylized as a sailing ship (1984 year built). The theater occupied the building of Lenin's House in Krasny avenue before.

It was called the Theater for Young Audiences (TYA) in the past, and in 1993 it was renamed into the Theater "Globus". The theater is known not only in Russia. It is known in the USA, Sweden, France, Bulgaria, Germany, Israel, Poland, Japan, Austria, etc. In 1999 the theater was awarded the honorary title "Academic". The performances have repeatedly won various theater awards, including the main national theater award of the country "Golden Mask".
