Belovsky waterfall

Belovo waterfall got its name from the nearby village of Belovo. There used to be the coal quarry on the site of the lake, from which the waterfall originates. Due to the washing away by groundwater, it was decided to stop mining here and leave it. The pit filled with water, and there formed a very beautiful lake. Despite the dam, the water found its way out. So a waterfall originated there.

Belovo waterfall is a wonderful place to relax. The water is quite warm below despite the rapid current. One can find even such fish as perch and chebak nearby.

Location: Iskitimsky district, Novosibirsk region, near the village of Belovo, near the Gorlovsky coal mine

How to get there: the distance from the city of iskitim (district center of Iskitimsky district) to the village of Belovo is 46 km by car, the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the village of Belovo is 100 km by car. To get to the Belovo waterfall, one need to drive through the village of Belovo, turn to the left from the field road, and then cross the birch forest and climb a steep hill.

From the station "Novosibirsk-Main" (43 Dmitriya Shamshurina str.) to the city of Iskitim there are trains on the routes "Novosibirsk–Iskitim", "Novosibirsk–Lozhok", "Novosibirsk–Dorogino", "Novosibirsk–Cherepanovo". One can get from the Novosibirsk bus station (4 Krasny avenue) to the city of Iskitim by bus on the routes "Novosibirsk– Maslyanino", "Novosibirsk-Barnaul", "Novosibirsk-Belokurikha", "Novosibirsk-Gorno-Altaysk", "Novosibirsk-Suzun", "Novosibirsk-Biysk", "Novosibirsk-Rubtsovsk", "Novosibirsk-Zarinsk", "Novosibirsk-Chemal", "Tomsk-Belokurikha", "Yurga-Belokurikha".
There is a bus from the city of Iskitim to the village of Belovo on the route "Iskitim-Belovo-Devkino".
