Natural monument of regional level “Peninsula Sugun of Tandovo Lake”
Natural monument of the regional level “Peninsula Sugun of Tandovo Lake” was opened on July 9, 1998. The total area is 188 hectares.
The variety of the flora of the natural monument is represented by 160 species of higher vascular plants. The fauna of vertebrates has about 111 species, where 11 species belong to mammals, and 98 species belong to the class of birds. Among terrestrial mammals, rodents are most widespread. On the territory of the nature monument there are rare species of birds: big cormorant, bean gander, meadow harrier, white-tailed eagle, great white heron, large curlew, common gray shrike.
The main objects of protection are:
• Birch forests, grass and reed meadows;
• rare and endangered plant species: Ural licorice, , lily curly, peony marin root;
• rare and endangered bird species: large eagle, jerboa, oatmeal, long-tailed owl - and insects: mahaon, bumblebees modestus and moss, elephant beetles, serrate rocker.
The Red Book of the Russian Federation includes: 3 species of animals (black-headed gull, avocet, and curly pelican), one kind of higher vascular plants (feather grass).
It is allowed to gather berries, fishing, and organization of excursions for educational purposes on the territory of the natural monument. It is forbidden to pollute the territory and make fires, collect rare and endangered, as well as decorative types of plants, mushrooms, berries.
Location: the Novosibirsk region, central part of Barabinsky district, Peninsula Sugun of Tandovo Lake
How to get there: the distance between Barabinsk and Peninsula Sugun of Tandovo Lake is 31 km by car, from Novosibirsk to the natural monument – 336 km by car. You can take a train from Novosibirsk-Glavny Railway Station or bus from Novosibirsk Bus Terminal to get to Barabinsk. From Barabinsk to Badazhki village there is scheduled bus. From Badazhki village to the natural monument you can get by car or hitchhiking.
