Natural monument of the regional level “Kazantsevsky Cape”
The natural reserve of the regional level “Kazantsevsky Cape” includes natural complexes that have great scientific, environmental, aesthetic and ecologo-educational significance: pine-birch and birch-oak forests, unusual for the forest-steppe zone, rare species of animals and plants. It was founded on September 17, 1997. The total area is 185 hectares.
The variety of the flora of the natural monument is represented by 134 species of plants. There are about 170 species of vertebrates.
On the territory of the nature monument there are rare species of birds: red-necked grebe, black-headed gull, goose, mute swan, ordinary turpan, meadow harrier, merlin, hawk. There are bats.Some species of animals are listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation: black-headed gull-hawk, common gray shrike, avocet.
It is allowed gathering of berries, fishing, and organizing excursions on the territory of the natural monument. The following is prohibited: collection of rare and endangered plants, herbs and mushrooms, destruction of halts, tourist camps and making fires.

How to get there: the distance between Barabinsk and reserve “Kazantsevsky Cape” is 67 km by car, from Novosibirsk to the reserve – 376 km by car. You can take a train from Novosbirsk-Glavny Railway Station to Barabinsk or bus from Novosibirsk Bus Terminal. From Barabinsk to Kazantsevo village (distance – 61 km). From Kazantsevo village to the reserve you can get by hitchhiking or car.
