River Kargat
The Kargat river is 387 kilometers in length, with a drainage basin of 7,200 square kilometers. Next to the river there are Kargat town, Verh-Kargat and Zdvinsk villages.
The river is formed in the southern part of the Vasugansky swamp. From the source the river goes to the south-west (parallel to the Chulim River). It keeps the same direction during the 387 km. The reservoir flows into the Chulim river near the Chulim village.
In the middle of the stream there is town, called Targat. That is the place where the river crosses the Trans-Siberian Railway and M51 highway.
Summer time the Kargat river turns into large stream with deep of 10-20 cm, in spring it spreads and floods into large coastal areas.
There are pike-perch, perch, crucian, sazan, pike in the river. Near the river there are currant bushes. The river is popular among local fishman.

How to get there: the distance between Novosibirsk and Kargat town is 180 km. The suburban electric train goes to Kargat from the Glavny Railway Station. Also from the local Bus Terminal you can get to Kargat by the following routes: Novosibirsk-Severnoe, Novosibirsk-Dovolnoe, and Novosibirsk-Ust-Tarka.
