Kolyvansky Museum of Local History
The Kolyvansky Museum of Local History is widely known far beyond the Novosibirsk region. Among its visitors are not only local residents, but also guests from many regions of Russia, as well as from Germany, England, China, Japan. Currently, the museum fund has more than 18,000 items.
Since 2015, after the reconstruction of the building, the museum is located in the house of merchant E.A. Zhernakov on the area of 973 sq.m. The exposition "Kolyvan historical" is presented in 8 halls, telling about the ancient merchant city, about the ways of its development.
Exhibition halls represent products of local craftsmen such as: the work of birch bark, lace weaving, decorative painting of wooden utensils, an exhibition of works of artists.
In addition to sightseeing and thematic tours of the museum halls, tourist routes to historical places have been developed. They include the following ones: "Along the streets of the merchant city", "Along the Moscow-Siberian highway to the ancient settlement of chats".
The museum is a regular participant of regional and district festivals and annually joins the action "Night of museums".

How to get there: the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the settlement of Kolyvan is 49 km by car. One can get from the Novosibirsk bus station (43a Dmitriya Shamshurina ul.) to the settlement of Kolyvan by bus on the route "Novosibirsk-Kolyvan". In addition, bus No. 127 and route taxi No. 328 go from the public transport stop "Metro Zayeltsovskaya" to the settlement of Kolyvan.
