St. Vladimir's Cathedral of the Trinity
The parish in the name of the Holy Prince Vladimir Equal of the Apostles was organized in 1997. The first Divine Liturgy was celebrated on the feast day of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, i.e. on December 19, 1997.
With the blessing of Archbishop Tikhon of Novosibirsk and Berdsk, the construction of the building of the Trinity-Vladimir Cathedral was carried out in April 2001 by the Michael-Archangel monastery (in the village of Kozikha of the Ordynsky district of the Novosibirsk region).
From September 2010 classes of the 1st form in the newly opened Orthodox gymnasium began.
The Cathedral is two-level, accommodates up to 1,500 people.
The parish pays much attention to religious education and upbringing of children and adults. In Sunday school, children get acquainted with the Sacred history, the history of the Church, with the moral laws of the life of an Orthodox Christian. Classes on catechism, Church history, and the study of the Old and New Testaments are held with adult parishioners.
With the blessing of Archbishop Tikhon, the parish provides guidance to the Novosibirsk Regional Ukrainian Cultural Center. Clerics of the temple spiritually provide guidance to the Regional House of Mercy, the Inter-branch Scientific-and-Technical Complex "Eye microsurgery" and hospital No. 11 of Leninsky district. A chapel in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was opened at the Inter-branch Scientific-and-Technical Complex. The hospital No. 11 also has the chapel in honor of the Righteous Martyr Grand Duchess Elisabeth. The regular clerks perform prayers, confess, take communion, and conciliate the faithful once a week in the chapels and once a month in the House of Mercy.
