Monument in honor of S.M. Kirov in Kirova Park
Sergei Mironovich Kirov (real name - Kostrikov) (March 15 (27), 1886, the city of Urzhum, Vyatka Governorate - December 1, 1934, the city of Leningrad) was the Russian revolutionary, Soviet statesman and politician.
The monument to S.M. Kirov in the park of his name was established, presumably, after 1934 (since the official formation of the Kirovsky district, now – Leninsky district). Sulptor - Vera Fedorovna Shtein.
In the late 1970s, the monument was dismantled. The sculpture was not destroyed, but was without use for a long time. In 2006, the brewing company "Baltika" financed the restoration, and the statue was put back to its original place.
