Monument in honor of A.D. Kriachkov
Andrei Dmitrievich Kriachkov (November 24 (December 6), 1876, the village of Vakhrevo, Rostov parish, Yaroslavl province - August 25, 1950, the city of Sochi) was the Russian and Soviet architect (civil engineer) and teacher, doctor of technical sciences, honored worker of science and technology of the RSFSR. According to the projects of A.D. Kriachkov, about 100 large buildings and structures were built in the cities of Siberia.
The monument to Andrei Dmitrievich is installed in Sverdlova square in the immediate vicinity of the famous monuments of architecture of the city of Novosibirsk, built according to his projects: 100-apartment building of the Regional Executive Committee, the Administration of the Novosibirsk region (Krai Executive Committee. House of Soviets), Real school, Siberian Revolutionary Committee (Novosibirsk State Art Museum).
Authors of the monument: sculptor Aram Grigorian (Chairman of the Novosibirsk Union of Artists), artist Yurii Burika, architect Aleksei Kovalenko, curator of the project Valerii Arbatskii (at the time of the creation of the monument – the chief architect of the city of Novosibirsk).
On June 28, 2008, a 3.2 m high bronze sculpture was installed in Sverdlova square.
