The lake’s shape is oval, the length is 0.78 km, and width is 0.45 km. The square is 29 ha. The reservoir goes deeper to the middle of it. In 1975 the expedition headed by D.N. Fialkov determined the deep, which is 18m.

Around the lake you can find old pines, bushes of bird cherry, mountain ash, viburnum and honeysuckle, aspen, birch forest. Along the shore there are thickets of swamp, reed and cattail.

On the shore of the lake there is a clay deposit of greenish-bluish color, which is used for medicinal and cosmetic purposes. Water also has healing properties due to the high level of silver. Infusions and decoctions made from the Danilovo Lake water have great efficiency. The water help to treat skin diseases, toothache and even cancer.
