The Memorial Monument and the Alley of Glory
In 1975 year to the 30th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War the stele was placed. Then in 1987 the District Party Committee suggested an idea to create a Memorial Monument and an Alley of Glory. The Monumental composition consists of two memorial walls with names of warriors (1150 people) and eight busts of Heroes of the Soviet Union along the Alley. There is a sculpture of a grieving mother near one wall and a sculpture of a warrior near another. In 2014 capsules with earth from the battlefields of countrymen from Sevastopol and Kursk (the Prohorovka village) were buried.
There are 8 busts of countrymen on the Alley of Glory, who received the title of a Hero of the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War:
1) Kozhemyakin P.P.
2) Babaev N.A.
3) Osinyi I.I.
4) Dombrovskiy I.A.
5) Golubovskiy G.A.
6) Leonchikov N.P.
7) Pisarev G.I.
8) Konstantinov L.S.
A meeting is held annually on May 9 on the Glory Monument. Also, the official ceremony of wreath-laying takes place. The guard of honor from patriotic organizations and schools of Kargat is on duty. After the official part of the meeting participants lay flowers at the eternal flame.
