City Trade Building
The building of the City Trade Building was constructed in 1910-1911 yrs. by architect A.D. Kriachkov in the art nouveau style.
At night on December from 13 on 14 (from 26 on 27), 1917 in the large hall of the City Trading Building on joint meeting of the Executive Committee of Councils of Workers' and Soldiers' deputies and Executive Committee of the County Council of Peasant' deputies the decision about transition of the power to Soviets was adopted. On January 6, 1920, there was the first citywide meeting of youth held at the same hall, which marked the beginning of the creation of the Novonikolayevsk Komsomol organization. On May 1 of the same year, the building hosted the first meeting of the newly elected City Council of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies.
Before transfer in 1985 of the City Trading Building to the Novosibirsk Museum of Local History, there was the shop of radio goods "Orbit", Institute "Giprotorg" and restaurant in it.
