Center of National Cultures of the Chanovsky district of Novosibirsk region
The territory of the multinational Chanovsky district hosts the Center of National Cultures, which includes eight associations such as:
- The Center for German Culture in the settlement of Yurki, the Head is Lidiia Mikhailovna Biriulina;
- The Branch for Russian-German House in the worker's settlement of Chany, the Head is Irina Fedorovna Temniakova;
- The Center for the Kazakh Culture "Sholpan" in the village of Mokhovoye, the Head is Slu Kaerbaevna Iusupova;
- The Center for Tatar Culture "Duslyk" in the village Tarmakul, the head is Valerii Chiiangirovich Shamsutdinov;
- The Center for Estonian Culture "Kaste" in the village of Oravka, the Head is Irina Leonidovna Nizamutdinova;
- The Center for Russian Culture "Rusichi" in the settlement of Chany, the Head is Vladimir Ilich Shcherbakov;
- The Branch of the Regional Center for Belarus Culture, created on the basis of Municipal State Institution of Culture of Tagan Village Council, the Head is Svetlana Vladimirovna Dolchanina;
- The Center for Ukrainian Culture, created on the basis of the House of Culture of the village of Peschanoye Ozero, the Head is Galina Viktorovna Vall.
The activities of the Center is aimed at preserving and promoting of the national culture of the peoples living in the territory of the district, and strengthening of ethnic friendship. Every year, more than twenty events are held, which involve national holidays, rituals, traditions, cuisine, meetings with artists and culture.
The district closely cooperates with the Institute of Philology and Arts of Kazan Federal University. Expeditions from Tatarstan come here to study the language, folklore and materials on the history of the Siberian Tatars. In November 2014, an expedition of the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences worked in the district, studying public opinion on the problems of inter-ethnic relations and ethno-cultural development.
One of the most significant and bright events of 2014 was the III Regional festival of national cultures "Together we are Russia!" dedicated to the Day of National Unity. 14 cultural institutions and national-cultural associations presented their farmsteads in the national color.
The great gift for the Center of National Cultures was a new building. The festive opening of the "House of Friendship" took place on December 12, 2014.

How to get there: the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the settlement of Chany is 420 km by car. One can get from the Novosibirsk bus station (43a Dmitriya Shamshurina ul.) to the w.s. of Chany by bus on the route "Novosibirsk-Ust-Tarka". One can get from the railway station "Novosibirsk-Main" (43 Dmitriya Shamshurina ul.) to the railway station "Chany" by train on the routes "Novosibirsk-Omsk", "Novosibirsk-Kulunda".
