Mass Grave of Partisans who died in the Struggle for Soviet Power
The mass grave of the partisans is the only one of all the Berdsk monuments that existed in the old city. It arose in 1919 after the execution of partisans by followers of Kolchak. On January 1, 1920 residents of the village of Berdskoye, liberated, like the whole of Siberia from followers of Kolchak, organized a civil memorial service and a mourning rally in memory of the victims. 34 volleys thundered in the air - it was a salute to 34 heroes who gave their lives for the power of the Soviets. The wooden obelisk was erected on the grave, which existed until the flooding of the old city.
In 1957, the burial was decided to move to the center of new city of Berdsk in Sverdlova str. The new stone obelisk and the plaque with the names of the buried were installed on the grave.
Every year, on May 1, the Communist Party of Russian Federation organizes a march through the streets of the city of Berdsk. The route includes visiting of the monument and laying of flowers.
