Озеро Горькое

The Gorkoe Lake occupies 6.8 square meters. It has round shape, and diameter is about 2.5-2.7 km. The northern shore is slightly, the southern shore is steep. Flora is concentrated on the separate areas. Not so many local people call it as Gorkoe Lake; usually they call it as Novokluchi Lake.

The main pride of the reservoir is salt. The level of salt concentration in the water is so high that keeps person afloat. The lake got the reputation of the Siberian Dead Sea. The bottom is sandy, with high-quality sulphidic mud of intense black color, which has medicinal properties. The indications to treat are the diseases of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, respiratory organs, and urological, skin diseases. During the Great Patriotic War the wounded were brought to the lake from hospitals for burns treatment.

Location: the Novosibirk region, the border of Kupinsky and Bagansky districts, 0.5 km away from Novokluchi village.

How to get there: the distance from Kupino town and the Gorkoe Lake is 47 km, the distance from Novosibirsk and the Gorkoe Lake is 466 km. There is the local bus from Novosibirsk Bus Terminal to Kupino town. The suburban electric train goes to Kupino from the Glavny Railway Station. From Kupino to Novokluchi you can get by bus or taxi.
