Парк культуры и отдыха имени С.М. Кирова

The Park was founded in 1923 by workers of industrial enterprises of the Kirovsky district. Then it was called "Garden-Club "Freedom". In 1936, the park was renamed into the Garden named after Kirov.

Currently, the Park of Culture and Recreation named after S.M. Kirov is one of the best municipal parks in the city. There is fountain, attractions and children's play complex, sundial, and the new stage is installed for the 117th anniversary of the city of Novosibirsk there in its territory.

There are folk festivals, theatrical festivals, concerts, show-programs with the participation of famous artists of the city.

The Park is included into the register "All-Union Book of Honor", into the Golden book of the Novosibirsk region "Establishment of the year", is the owner of 7 gold medals for participation in the city competition at the Siberian fair "Flowers, gardens and parks of Siberia".

How to get there: one can get from the bus stop "Metro Studencheskaya" to the bus stop "Ploschad Truda" by tram No. 15 or No. 18. One can get on foot (200 m) from the bus stop "Ploshchad Truda" to the Park of Culture and Recreation named after S.M. Kirov.
