Детский православный лагерь во имя святого преподобного Серафима Саровского

The Children's Orthodox Camp in the name of St. Seraphim of Sarov is located in the pine forest on the bank of the Karakan river.

Children from 7 to 15 years of age are accepted. Vouchers can be purchased by contacting the Cathedral in the name of Alexander Nevsky in the city of Novosibirsk, as well as through the Ministry of Social Development of the Novosibirsk region.

Life of children is organized in such a way that most of the time they spend directly in the fresh air. Children live in comfortable wooden buildings for 8-12 people in the squad. The entire territory of the camp is fenced and guarded around the clock.

Throughout the season, educational classes are held in the form of competitions, games and quizzes on different topics such as: the world around us, history, literature, educational classes on Orthodox subjects, watching videos with subsequent discussion.

One of the most important tasks of the camp is to strengthen the health of children, so sports and recreational activities actively complement children's recreation. Daily morning exercises are held on the sports ground, volleyball, football, tennis, "Fun starts", relays, outdoor games are regularly held.

The spiritual side is an integral part of camp life: children get acquainted with the basics of the Orthodox faith and Russian culture, learn a lot about the history of their native land and folk traditions.  There is general morning and evening prayer on a daily basis. On Sundays, the children come to the temple for worship, confess and for taking communion.

How to get there: the distance from the city of Iskitim (the administrative center of Iskitimsky district) to the camp is 69 km by car, the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the camp is 120 km by car.
One can get from the Novosibirsk bus station (4 Krasny avenue) to the village of Zavyalovo by bus.
There are trains from the railway station "Novosibirsk-Main" (43 Dmitriya Shamshurina str.) to the city of Iskitim on the routes "Novosibirsk–Iskitim", "Novosibirsk–Lozhok", "Novosibirsk–Dorogino", "Novosibirsk–Cherepanovo". One can get from the railway station forecourt of the city of Iskitim by a bus to the village of Zavyalovo (70 km).
