Novosibirsk Zoo

Novosibirsk Zoo is the biggest in Russia and its very popular in Novosibirsk – in 2014 thousands of citizens took part in choosing the name for a polar bears’ cub. A huge collection that includes more than 11 000 animal units of 702 species (180 species are in IUCN Red List), a theme park, cafes, a riding-school, souvenir-shops and young naturalists project team are settled on a great territory (the area of Novosibirsk Zoo is more than 60 hectares). Novosibirsk Zoo contributes to more than 45 international threatened and endangered species preservation programs. Soon visitors would be offered to see a new dolphinarium and a penguin pavilion.
