The Novosibirsk Music College named after A.F. Murov
The Novosibirsk Music College named after A.F. Murov was established on October 11, 1945. The concert life of the institution consists of numerous festivals, competitions, academic and reporting concerts of departments, subscription cycles, opera productions. Students also perform at various concert venues of the city and the region, i.e. in the musical living rooms of libraries, on the grounds of children's music schools and children's art schools, on festive and anniversary evenings, at socially significant events dedicated to veterans, pensioners and disabled people, as well as at major festive and official events of the city and region.
The permanent student creative teams hold active concert activities in the college: Chamber Orchestra of the Department for Orchestral String Instruments, Wind Orchestra, Laureate of International Competitions of Orchestra of Folk Instruments, Big-Band of the Variety Department, Choir of Students of the Conductor-and-Choral Department, Folklore Ensemble of the Department of Solo and Choral Folk Singing "Song artel", Laureate of International Competitions the String Ensemble "Nocturne", etc.
Opening on the basis of the Novosibirsk Music College named after A.F. Murov of the concert hall "Siberian" with a capacity of almost 400 seats with two concert pianos and the necessary sound and lighting equipment made it possible to increase and expand the concert programs with the participation of professional musicians visiting the city of Novosibirsk. 2 large–scale international projects, i.e. the International Festival-Competition "Classical guitar" and the International Jazz Festival-Competition "On the wings of jazz" were launched at the Novosibirsk College.
The Concert Hall "Siberian" is becoming increasingly popular in the city and boosts its audience. It annually hosts concerts dedicated to the Decade of the Elderly, the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland, the Celebration of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as concerts within the International Christmas Festival of Arts and "Steinway Piano Evenings", namely systematic concerts of piano music, which are attended by students and teachers of the college, young pianists of the city of Novosibirsk, visiting musicians.
