Water tower with chimney

Water tower with chimney is a special engineering structure, which is protected by the state. The tower is two-tiered, with original shape. It was built on the Kargat river, so that there were no interruptions in water for refueling of locomotives. The tower is adjacent to the pumping station building. The station was built gradually: in 1886 the tower was built, then in 1900 the central part was added, and in 1912 the station acquired the appearance that has survived to the present day. "The Museum of the History of the City of Kargat" has been located in the water tower since 2009.
