Children's Psychoneurological Sanatorium "Lake Karachi"

The Children's Psychoneurological Sanatorium "Lake Karachi" is located in the forest-steppe part of the Barabinsk steppe, in the Chanovsky district of the Novosibirsk region. There is the salt lake Karachi to the north of the sanatorium, and the fresh lake Uzunkul - to the south.

Indication for treatment:
• cerebral palsy;
• ERB's paralysis;
• consequences of traumatic brain injuries and peripheral nerve injuries;
• other diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system.

The main therapeutic factors of the sanatorium:
• Natural medical factors such as: mud of Karachi lake (silt, has a large heat capacity), brine of Karachi lake (saline solution), mineral water of Karachi spring (slightly mineralized), the composition is similar to "Essentuki No. 4".
• Physiotherapy
• Massage

Children aged from 2 to 18 years, from 6 to 14 years without parents are treated free of charge in the health resort, except for cases when the child needs constant external care. Duration of treatment is 21 days, if necessary – 42 days (upon prior request). 6 meals a day, without individual orders, diet, but only if the person is allergic to products. Accompanying individuals (up to 65 years of age, take care of children) live on vouchers and eat free of charge, do not need treatment.

Patients are trained from 1 to 9 form in the sanatorium according to the program of general education school, according to their textbooks (for more information, call + 7 (383-67) 41-571). Internet access via Wi-Fi.

Vacationers live in two medical buildings for 50 and 55 places for 8-10 children in the ward, on vouchers with accompaniment - in 4- and 6-seater wards. Sanitary conveniences in the wards are not provided.

How to get there: the distance from the worker's settlement of Chany (district center) to the sanatorium is 17 km by car, the distance from the city of Novosibirsk to the sanatorium is 420 km by car. It is necessary to go along the highway "Baykal" from the city of Novosibirsk to turn to the w.s. of Chany, before the viaduct turn to the right to the railway crossing, behind which there is the settlement of Lake Karachi, without entering it turn to the left to the stele with the name of the sanatorium.

Another option: One can get from the railway station "Novosibirsk-Main" (43 Dmitriya Shamshurina str. of the city of Novosibirsk) to the railway station "Lake Karachi" by train on the routes "Novosibirsk-Omsk", "Novosibirsk-Kulunda". One can get from the railway station to the sanatorium independently (1.5 km).
